Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry come to You! Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress! Incline Your ear to me... For my days pass away like smoke, and my bones burn like a furnace. My heart is struck down like grass and has withered; I forget to eat my bread. Because of my loud groaning my bones cling to my flesh. I am like a desert owl of the wilderness... I lie awake... for You have taken me up and thrown me down.(Psalm 102:1-7, ESV)
From my distress I called upon the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me in a large place... The LORD is for me; I will not fear; what can man do to me? You pushed me violently so that I was falling, but the LORD helped me... I will not die, but live, and tell of the works of the LORD. The LORD has disciplined me severely, but He has not given me over to death... I shall give thanks to You, for You have answered me, and You have become my salvation.(Psalm 118:5-6,13,17-18,21, NASB)
The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD: “LORD, save me!” The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion... when I was brought low, He saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. For You, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.(Psalm 116:3-9, NIV)
